Entry into Jeju

General Requirements

  • Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least three months from the date of entry.

  • Visa:

    • Most travelers need a valid visa appropriate for their purpose of stay.

    • You can check visa types and application details on the Korea Visa Portal.

    • If you are entering directly to Jeju Island, check the Tourist/Transit (Jeju) B-2-2 category for visa exemptions.

  • K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization):

    • Citizens of visa-free countries must obtain K-ETA approval before traveling to South Korea.

    • Apply at least 72 hours before departure on the official K-ETA website below.

    • Some countries are temporarily exempt from K-ETA requirements. Eligible travelers will be informed about the exemption when applying for K-ETA.

Additional Information

  • Travelers from China can stay in Jeju Island visa-free for up to 30 days if arriving via a direct flight or cruise. However, those traveling to mainland Korea (e.g., Seoul, Busan) or transiting through a mainland airport (e.g., Incheon International Airport) will need a regular tourist visa.

  • Travelers from Japan and Taiwan can enter Korea without a visa or K-ETA for up to 90 days, regardless of whether their flight is direct or indirect.

  • Departure Point: Ramada Hotel Lobby
  • Time: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Itinerary

13:00 Depart from Ramada hotel
13:40 Arrive at Seongsan Port and board ferry
14:00 Ferry to Udo Island (approx. 15 minutes)
14:15 – 16:00 Udo Island tour (via local shuttle bus or short walks)
16:00 Ferry back to Seongsan Port
16:20 – 17:30 Visit Seongsan Ilchulbong (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
17:30 – 18:00 Return to Hamdeok or move to dinner venue

Note: In case of rain, the excursion itinerary may be adjusted. A revised schedule will be provided if weather conditions require a change.

Udo Island

  • Explore scenic beaches like Hagosudong
  • Try local specialties: Peanut ice cream, fresh seafood
  • Use Udo Tour Shuttle Bus for easy access to key spots
  • Short walks available for those who prefer a light activity

  • Light hiking trail (20–30 minutes to the top)

  • Alternative: Walk around the base for those who prefer a gentler path

  • Umbrellas or sun hats recommended depending on weather
  • If Udo ferry service is canceled due to weather, an alternative itinerary will be provided
